Re: Fender Prototypes (non-offset NGD)
On a more offset-related prototype note, John Page's daughter was trying to sell this Performer Bass prototype on Facebook recently. I threw my hat in the ring, but it got too rich for me... but I snagged a few pics. Check out the headstock and the bridge... It would have been a great pice to get a hold of...

Looks like the same pink they use around the edge of paisley Teles.

I have a transparent butterscotch 51 pawnshop prototype. With the research and development logo. I believe it is from the same set. I bought it from the once head of R&D at the corona factory. He included a detailed letter about how the guitar came to be, along with the specs. I treasure it! Not sure of the actual value. Paid $1400. It I superior quality to any other 51 Strat I've seen in Pearson. It has flush mount ferrules, transparent finish, a Texas special neck pickup and a semour TB59 humbucker. Vintage tint neck.
Love the tele bridge on yours.
Please consider me if you sell. There should be three others out there somewhere. A white, a black and surf green thinline I believe.
