Re: best gigbag for a Jazzmaster?
@andtrea, I have both of these gig bags. I ordered the FE620 for a JMJM, and it didn't fit. It's an excellent case so I decided to keep it for a tele and order the FEJ610 for the JM. That fit, but the FE620 is superior in just about every way, from the padding to the straps, pockets, etc.
I ended up returning the JMJM and ordered a Vintera Modified Jazzmaster, which comes with a gig bag. I find that bag more comfortable and also superior to the FEJ610; not by a huge order, but enough that I choose it over the FEJ, which just feels kinda flimsy to me.

I use the reunion blues continental bass gig bag for my Jaguars. I believe it will fit a JM. It isn’t a perfect fit for a jag (I have to add some t shirts for padding) but is close enough. I would be comfortable using it when traveling, even with a higher end offset.

I know it’s a bit expensive, but a Mono Sleeve fits a Jazzmaster. It’s pretty snug but great quality, have had mine a few years and still looks new

RIO turned me on to mono gig bags. Built in neck rest and super well padded.

What are the current best gig bags for Jazzmasters? I'm interested in something comfortable to carry on (padded dual straps) as I have a long trip coming up involving trains, busses, metros, and general foot commuting.

Still Mono.

Gator's Jazzmaster Gig Bag is pretty nice. Fits my Jaguar quite nicely.

I've had a few 'soft cases' for Jazzmaster and Jaguar but this is my fav: https://www.tkl.com/products/21235-tkl- ... oft-casetm
Also fits my Squier Mustang bass.
