Anyone ever deliberately mismatch headstock and body colors?

Was a lpb ComStang with a candy apple red mij neck on it I think. Looked sweet.

2 of my offsets have black headstocks. one is red, one is white. i do it when i cba finding paint codes.

Now this look I dig. I was mostly looking for ugly, weird or ironic mismatches, but yours are quite stylish. Very cool idea.

Me too. I'm going to paint the headstock on my hot pink Jazzmaster black to match the pickguard.

Black headstocks definitely have a classy look, so many non Fender brands use them I guess - Gibson, Gretsch etc. Looks cool on a Fender style too.

i totally support this idea as long as the fretboards aren't maple.

i'd love to do a LPB blue body w/ a shoreline gold headstock

Add a gold pickguard too, that would be most excellent! I love the guard/headstock match look.

revived this old thread coz I put a TVL neck on my surf green JM build this weekend and she now qualifies for one of the weirder mismatches

almost tort but the oxblood is a bit more purple...
