NGD: Fender AV65 Thinskin Jazzmaster, ocean turquoise!
It has arrived! Meet my new thinskin AV65 Jazzmaster in OTM from Wildwood Guitars. Wildwood was absolutely fantastic to deal with on this BTW. It is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have had three other OTM guitars, thinskin '62 JM, thinskin '62 jag, and a Bilt. This is the most awesome version of OTM I have seen. This one leans more towards blue, like a darker ice blue than the others I had. The others had way more green to the color, I prefer this. It may even be like a darker firemist silver that was recently a special run on AV65 jazzmasters. Only bummer is that these have no special neck plate or certificate of authenticity stating it as a limited run. Apparently the serial number will still show it as a special run though. Haven't been able to play it through an amp yet so I will have to report back on that. Initial impressions are fantastic. Setup was great out of the box, in tune, no buzzes, no rattles, very resonant and easily the lightest weight Jazzmaster I have ever owned. It will still get a mastery bridge this weekend even though the stock bridge seems fine so far. I have one laying around so I may as well use it! That neck, oh that neck!!! We are gonna get along famously. My thought that the thicker AV65 neck with the bigger frets and 9.5 radius would be dreamy has proven to be correct. Here are some bad fluorescent light pics until I can get some daylight pics and before it gets the gutter rock black guard treatment!
Got some outdoor pics today!

Really gorgeous, congrats!
I've a 2008 "Thin Skin" JM in OTM which I'll never part with (also because it was my first JM).

Wow; congrats!
This Ocean turquoise seems very nice indeed.
I imagine it's still greener in reality than on the pics.
I can't get a representative pic of my AVRI; it's Always too blue.
Good to hear that it's light and resonant (just like the '65 reissues it's derived from I suppose).
I'm not a fan of the 'gutter-rock-treatment', but It's your guitar, isn't it?
Anyway, it's looking fantastic!
