So I was able to purchase a sunburst Sterling by MusicMan SR50 Stingray guitar this past Sunday and let me tell you... its absolutely amazing! The neck has a satin finish with a 12" radius, the body is an amazing size and fits perfectly while playing sitting down or standing. It also sounds remarkable. I have mine tuned down to C# as I do with a lot of my guitars, strung with D'addario 11's, and its perfect. The volume / tone knobs are amazingly responsive and I highly, highly recommend this instrument!

That looks great! Congrats. All the actual photos off this that I've seen look so much nicer than the promo shots for some reason. Considering getting one myself though there is nowhere within reasonable travel distance for me to try them out (yet).

Thanks! I noticed that as well. I had been looking at them online for quite some time. I decided to go to GuitarCenter and give it a try and was blown away by how amazing it looked, felt and sounded. The promo shots of these guitars really do not do it any justice. It is an amazing guitar.

Some months ago, I was seeking for a bass and found this one.

It is a Sterling ray34 with mods: fretless and bad relicing.
I bought it for cheap. It is a amazing instrument. Feels great, plays great, sounds great. I am totaly loving it.
This Sterling brand is doing some incredibles basses and guitars.
Definitly worth every penny and more.
Congratulation on your guitar, I am sure it is a beast.

I own the Ernie Ball version and love that guitar so much. I played a Sterling and other than being a little heavier it was really close to the EBMM version. I plan on getting a sunburst version like you have.

On a side note if you want a hardshell case custom fit for it I am going to sell my EBMM Stingray case as I use gigbags exclusively. Great case and it even says Stingray on the side.

The only real differences that I noticed were the neck radius and the weight and honestly, I much preferred the Sterling in both of those regards!
