Went ahead & ordered a Staytrem tremolo arm & collet for the upcoming Jazzmaster even before it gets here
Ordered the 10mm Metric & arm with a black tip

My Son's Birthday is August 26th & that will be when the Jazzmaster appears from my local Pawn Shop
It's a Mahogany 2013 Modern Player Jazzmaster & has the loose wobbly tem arm
I know I could just put a American Strat tension spring under the OE bar but wanted it to be super duty so I ordered the Staytrem from the UK
Plan on trying the setup on this guitar with .010" strings but might go up to .011"s if required
Anybody else out there ever try one of these tremolo arms & collet?

Good call on the Staytrem arm. I just installed mine this past week. I originally did the tension spring option and that helped keep the arm where I wanted it but there was still some play in the arm when using the trem. That motion took some of the sensitivity and nuance away from the vibrato system. The new arm is nice and the vibrato is nice and touch sensitive.

Re: Ordered a Staytrem Trem Arm & Collet for the Jazzmaster
I have one of these on my parts Jazzmaster, replacing the original arm on an AVRI trem.
In the ten+ years I've had this guitar I have tried out many parts upgrades, but except from switching the pickups that came with it to real Jazzmaster pickups the arm upgrade was the most significant. Way more usability and sense of control.

I put one of these on my AV65 and it's a huge upgrade. My stock arm was bottoming out inside the trem cavity. It took a bit of muscle to get the old collet off but it's worth it.

Thanks for the reply, guys
That is exactly what I needed to hear
It was worth the cost & week wait, I was in no hurry anyhow
I researched it first & was the best trem arm fix out there that I could find on the internet for the Jazzmaster/Jaguar
