Classic player jag HH coil split

Post by gibs » Tue Jul 05, 2022 5:33 pm

Anyone know what the actual value was that fender used for the spin a splits on the classic player jag? I guess it’s either a 1 Meg or 50k as those are the only values I’ve ever seen offered for the roller pots, but just trying to figure it out for a possible spin a split mod im thinking of doing for a guitar. Seems the lower the resistance the better from what I’ve read, so I’d imagine they’re 50k I guess. Tried finding a parts list for the CP jag but could only find a wiring diagram and no pot values listed.

Curiously, the CP HH's wiring diagram/parts list specifies 50k and 1meg .... that is, the same as a conventional rhythm circuit ... and therefore it's almost certainly wrong for the CP's actual dial-a-split pots, which should be identical.

The wiring diagram/parts list for the HH Vintera 60s Modified on the other hand says 50k linear for both ... which should probably be right for the CP HH too.

Man I don’t know why I couldn’t find those fmic pages, that’s what I was scanning for when trying to find the parts lists. Thank you. Confirms what I thought, that they’d use the 50k over the 1 Meg for better response from varying the amount of coil cut.
