Adhesive tape or Mastery thimbles?

I had some problems with a buzzing mastery bridge and putting some adhesive tape on the pountings posts (so that It fit perfectly snug in the thimbles) seemed to solve it.

Now I'm wondering. Will the adhesive tape kill some of the resonance and would I gain something with buying the Mastery thimbles or will it not make that big of a difference?

The Mastery thimbles make a huge difference. I was always skeptical and never used them (when I had Masterys, I don't use them anymore) but finally ended up with a guitar that had them... bridge was way more snug and worked noticeably better.

Do you use the height adjustment screws or do you lock the bridge all the way down against the plate?

I'd get the thimbles, if only for peace of mind. You an also buy the stock Fender thimbles which are identical to the Mastery thimbles. They're like $10 on eBay. Depending on what guitar you have (Squier?), you might have to widen the thimble holes by an unperceivable amount using a rounded file.

Same here.
