Mastery Vibrato Arms

Post by jc808 » Tue Nov 10, 2020 7:10 pm

Are my eyes deceiving me, or are the Mastery arms longer than AVRIs?

Sound off if you’ve seent ’em with your own eyes to compare.

Yes, they are a little longer. I have both. Never made too much of a difference to me but some people might have a strong preference.

Here are two right next to each other, with the Mastery on the bottom. (Had to weigh down the Fender arm so it lined up)

To echo adamrobertt, unless you are a super-duper fine tuned freak or maybe you have songs where you need to hit strings millimeter-perfect as you wail away, I highly doubt you'd notice it much.

Thanks for that. Definitely not a substantial difference. Guess I was just seeing things, lol! Thanks

The curve in the arm will make it look shorter, too. I put a pretty substanial curve in my arms and so they look shorter than normal, but they aren't actually shorter obviously

Do those tips fit AVRI arms? Or is the threading specific to Mastery?

No idea. I don't have any AVRI arms.

I have UFO tips on both of mine. Mastery says they don’t fit on the AVRI but in my experience they do.

Either way, if the fit is too loose, a couple of wraps on the threads with plumbers tape will fix you right up.

Edit: ones a Mastery and one is AVRI
