has anyone ever weighed an MIM vibrato unit vs. an AVRI one?

hey all,

slightly mundane topic but i am intrigued as to why my vibrato unit from a 2008 CP Jazzmaster (mexico origin) would feel noticeably heavier than a genuine made in the USA AVRI trem? i would think that the USA one would be heavier but i suppose weight itself is not necessarily a hallmark of quality.

has anyone here ever put 2 of these suckers on a scale to compare weights by gram?

they really do not feel or look all that materially different to me. if anyone has answers, enquiring minds want to know.
