My 1st gen American Professional Jazzmaster sounds great through my SF and BF amps, but I would like a bit more treble when playing through my Tweed Fenders.
The stock pots are both 500k audio taper. Would replacing just the Tone pot with a 1 meg give me a bit more treble range? My tone pot has a wiper problem and has to be replaced anyway. I have a 500k replacement but wondering if a higher value might be better for my needs.
Thanks!

Yes should give a touch more treble, as would changing the volume too. Other option is adjust pickup height a bit higher.

Any issue pairing a 1meg tone pot with 500k volume pot?
