Standard JM Wiring with 1 Volume + 2 Tones? - Help
Hello, I'm looking for a diagram for Standard Jazzmaster wiring but with 1 master volume and 2 tones. I picked up an American Ultra recently and I don't see myself using all the options it has. I bought a Toneshapers JM wiring kit, however, I'm new to guitar electronics and my soldering skill is just okay. Does anyone have a diagram I can follow for this or possibly can make one?

The usual way to do 2 tones and 1 volume would be to have each pickup going first to its own tone pot, then the pickup selector, then the switch output goes to the single volume pot ...

What do you want to do with the upper bout controls (out-of-phase switch volumes on the Ultra's complex wiring) ?

I want to have a traditional rhythm circuit in the upper bout controls.timtam wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 9:01 pmThe usual way to do 2 tones and 1 volume would be to have each pickup going first to its own tone pot, then the pickup selector, then the switch output goes to the single volume pot ...

OK, that's easy enough ... the lead and rhythm circuits are independent in a traditional JM - see below. So you'd just slot the above 1V2T circuit in place of the standard lead circuit. And add the standard rhythm circuit.Reluctantly wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 4:03 amI want to have a traditional rhythm circuit in the upper bout controls.
