Tremolo knocking problem

Hi. On my CIJ jag the tremolo makes a knocking sound and you can hear the spring when it is released. Has anyone else had this problem?

CIJ trems are notoriously noisy.  Mine clicked and squeaked too....until I replaced it with one of THESE. 

I personally didn't like my CIJ trems at all.....

The trem on my MIJ jazzmaster is great in comparison to this one. Might have to get a us one.

try tightening the spring first. Could help. Perhaps there too little tension on the spring.
Although, the Japanese trems are noisier....And have these "clicking" issues.....
