Does anyone know if it's normal for fender's parts department to supply just the mute plate without the foam or any of the mounting assembly?!?!?! If so, what gives?!?!?!?!  >:( >:(

foam does come separately, as do mounting screws  ... how else does a poor company like fender make any money.

foam can be bought from GPR or many other on line stores

screws are normal trem unit type screws
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

Yrah, they're sold seperately. I recently found and bought Fender mute foam for my '65 Jag at Angela's.
