This isn't offset, but it is tech/setup... That's okay, right?
I'm re-putting together an old guitar, a Squier strat, but I don't want to use all three pickups. I think mostly 'cause I want a Telecaster, but I can't afford one. I'm just using the neck and bridge pickups, is there any way I can use a 5-way switch instead of buying a 3-way? I don't really wanna wait for a single switch to come in the post, and I'm kinda interested to see if I can throw this all together with old parts and make it work. Ghetto, like
I figured I could leave the last two positions with no wires going to them, and just never switch to them, but is there something I could do so that if I do accidentally hit the switch in that direction, it'll revert to one of the other settings?
Thanks guys. I'm one of the annoying ignorant guys, I know, but thanks!
Rory

Using a 5-way switch for two pickups??
There is no problem so bad that you can't make it worse.
