Love it! It reminds me a bit of the soundtrack to The Adventures Of Pete & Pete played by Polaris, in style I mean. That is a very good thing in my opinion!!!

I find it hard to notice any difference between these samples... even between the japanese "strat" ones and say antiquity 1s where the difference should be clear... and i'm listening with Senheiser hd600 headphones! This is weird as in youtube videos the difference between pickups is noticiable

Anyone have experience with both Fralin & Novak pickups? Have Fralin's +5% pickups in my JM at the moment. Wondering if I might like the Novak JM-V/FAT combination more. I like the Fralins but find the bridge unit a bit harsh with overdrive.

I've just orderd a set of Creamery pickups for my 2019 MIJ Jazzmaster.

After a very nice conversation with Jamie about my needs and wishes, I pulled the trigging on a set consisting of:
- slightly overwound '58 with Alnico 4 (neck)
- Alt-88 Mid-Range with Alnico 4 (bridge).

I'll let you know my impressions as soon the pickups are here and installed in the guitar (but be very patient since timescale is still up at around 40-45 days as each pickup is custom made and Jamie works through orders one-by-one) :freako:

That's exactly what I'm using on my Vintera JM. Love em, but admit I haven't compared them other custom PUPs.

Just wanted to let everyone know about Jesse Revel and Revel Custom Pickups. I have his JM neck pickup and hybrid JM/P90 bridge pickup and I looooove this sound. It likely won't please the Jazzmaster purists, but I had an SD Antiquity II in the bridge before and I just needed something with a bit more oomph while retaining as much of the JM sound as possible. The hybrid is excellent, giving me the mids and bite that I want while also maintaining a lot of the twang and sparkle of a traditional JM bridge pickup.

I highly recommend checking Jesse's stuff out at www.revelcustompickups.com. He's a great guy and very helpful in figuring out what would work best for you.
And I will be the one to hold Larry Csonka down, kiss him so hard, I'll take Larry Csonka's breath away...

I received the Creamery pickups today and wow! If my MIJ JM before a shy guitar, now it's a beast!
The sound is a lot more present and fuller (it has almost as much volume as my main guitar which has high gain PUs), plenty of character and nuances. The Alt-88 with distortion comes very close to an HB in sound, but it still retains that JM-single coil twang, clean there a lot of mid range bite. Both together clean it's 80s new-wave revival! And the neck 58 has this wonderful warmth combined with clarity.
Overall highly recommended! Talking to Jamie prior order helped a lot and he delivered pickups with the sound I had in mind for this guitar.

Note: these takes where done just right after the pu charge, and so the setup was still not so 100% proper.
Note 2: the guitar is tuned B to b.

This guy has thoughts. I really like the sound of them compared to the original Lollars, but to my ears it’s pretty subtle.

I did actually order a pair of those pickups after watching Puisheen's video. :?
I had a pair of Lollars in an AVRI 62 JM. Loved them, but also found they could be a bit too much (too perfect ^^).
Listening to these aged pickups sounds to me closer to what I would like to hear from a vintage JM.
I wonder how they would compare to Seymour Antiquity I's.

I've been having a hard time finding Jazzmaster pickups that I actually like- so far, I've had that J Mascis P90's, which were, hands down, the worst pickups I've ever heard in a guitar I've owned, Bootstrap Lake Surfers, which were definitely an improvement, and currently, I have a set of Lindy Fralin Hum-Canceling JM pickups. To my ears, they are all a little too treble biased and lacking in mods and bottom end. Mike Adams' demo certainly seems like a step in the right direction with the tone I'd like to get in my offsets. My current build is getting a Curtis Novak Thunderbird in the neck and his WRHB JM pickup in the bridge. If they don't work, I may give the Lollars a try.

After lusting after a set for years, I finally ordered a set of Novak's (JM-V for the neck, JM-FAT for the bridge). Can't wait!!!
