I don't know of one that exists. I've been looking into machining one (or at least a saddle set) that addresses all of those same issues, but that project is a long ways off.
If you ever start to machine those, put me on the list dude.
I´m just willing to get rid of all the tiny extra parts... simplicity is the key. And what´s with the gaps on all the reissues... sweet jesus, how har is it to make one wihout those goddamn gaps?
So what if I buy a vintage used Mustang bridge, like this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-FENDER-MUST ... 8005r20848
... is it certain that I will not have the gaps between?
I had at TOM on my JM for a while but it felt like I was missing something... the sound just was not there.

Ok, I wanna get a Mustang bridge but without the gaps between, so no Allparts I guess. But now I hear that the newer Fender-made Mustang saddles also have gaps between them... so which one to buy? I would also like to get rid of the height screws on the saddles completely, so no Warmoth I guess.... Could somebody please give me a link that would direct me to the right Fender/any brand product that they have purchased and know that will work for sure... a link to a webshop or just the product code. (in Europe, if possible?)
Thanks in advance!

Perhaps it might be time to add the Mastery Bridge to the list of alternative bridges? That thing definitely seems like the real deal given who all is endorsing it.

Is anyone here using one yet? I think we need some field tests first.

Alright, I think that enough people have tried out the Mastery and loved it to justify putting it in the alternative bridge section of this thread. There's lots of testimonials on how it affects the sound in the Mastery Bridge thread that could be added in the description as well. Who's with me??

Now and then I'll try to bend

Yes. Welded on. I think the later ones use a different attachment technique, but in those, too, they're permanently affixed.

Bridge tilt
The bridge should sit dead upright in the thimbles and tilt freely as the trem is used. The only thing holding it in place is the strings. If the strings have been loosened and then tightened without the bridge being reset to centre then it may be resting against the back or front of the thimbles, which can cause buzz or tuning instability while using the trem. It can be easily put back in place by loosening the strings, just hold it central as you retune.
I'm sure glad I found that post. I changed strings on my new AVRI Jazzmaster the other day and it started buzzing like crazy. It wasn't at all obvious where the buzz was coming from. I don't know if I would have ever figured it out if I hadn't read that post. Thanks!
