It's also really quite expensive.

As a bonus, requires desoldering a bunch of stuff from the 3xDPDT switches and main volume/tone/output jack section to install it on a vintage-spec Jaguar body negating any benefits of a pre-wired 'drop in' harness.

So this guy is posting a listing for a vintage '62 style Jag wiring harness:

https://reverb.com/item/10167314-vintag ... ng-harness

However the cap values are different from what I see from the modern schematics that seem to be available at least. Did vintage Jags have these values?
There are 3 caps in a jag. The seller's pics show all 3 but the listing currently only has 1 (0.33uF). The main tone cap in the pic has an "SK" and ".1X" code, unlike the more common ceramic cap 3-number code, and are apparently NOS or replica Fender, and listed in several places as 0.1uF ...

https://reverb.com/item/17128854-fender ... -capacitor

Vintage correct would actually be 0.01uF.

Can't see markings on rhythm circuit cap, which should also be 0.01uF. Correct strangle cap would be 0.003uF (marking not visible in pic); the one cap in seller's current list is 0.33uF.

Suggest you confirm exact specs with the seller.

Thank you, very helpful!

Anyone have experience with both Fralin & Novak pickups? Have Fralin's +5% in my JM at the moment. Wondering if I might like the Novak JM-V/FAT combination more.

For anyone familiar with Pickup Wizard, do you know of a winder whose pickups come close to the same sound of Peter's enamel-wire PUs? I'm thinking about Sunday (timbo). I never play with an overdriven sound. I like clean and sparkly, shimmer. Thanks!

Hi there, Iā€™m using plain enamel and Alnico 5 in my jm-v pickup which aims to be a replica of 1961 jazzmaster spec. So they maybe quite close. Formvar gets talked about a lot for vintage spec but fender was actually using plain enamel in the early years of jm production.

I have a quick question and apologize if this has been covered in this thread.

How do the Fender 62 reissue Jag pickups compare to something you might find in a 2015 MIM? Specifically the bridge. Have an opportunity to buy one for 60$ (CND) shipped and I'd totally give it a try if it's worth it.
