All-Parts maple neck, bought it

Post by ohm-men » Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:56 am

I picked it up today. I think its a good deal for 60 Euro's. It included "Kluson DeLuxe" tuners. Are they any good.
I will keep this a "in progress tread" as I will post some pics after I instaled it on "Fuzz-Kings ex CIJ SB JM body"
P.S. I'm pretty sure the neck is finished with Nitro, so that's a big plus for me. Neck feels amazingly, a bit like an old vintage neck.
There is almost no fretwear and the tuners look very new. Neck got some kind of relic job, so I might have to redo the fretboard with some nitro, but I try it as it is.
I don't think this neck was used much.

Here are some pics of the neck.

unless they are mangled from the previous owner, those should be very nice tuners.  In my opinion they are the most aesthetically pleasing tuners I've ever seen.

i'd leave the fretboard as it is. play it some months or so without cleaning and you got a real nice dirty relic on the neck! but thats just my taste

what you need to do is cut your lawn, change your oil, and then play the guitar outside for like 3 hours. Then it'll look better

Read a little about those tuners here:  index.php?topic=1884.15

It doesn't sound promising.
