It was 'Aged White'... but I also aged it slightly further with a concoction I've used to simulate the mellowing/yellowing in the past so it's creamier than newLo-Fi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 7:49 amWhat colour is it out of interest? I’m about to push the button on one of his guards for my fiesta red jag and his choices are overwhelming.

Never one to shy away from any potential embarrassment at admitting a mistake, I declare this experiment a mild failure.
After a month of getting to know this in it's new form I came to the conclusion that it sounded better with the original single coils. It sounded great ...but it sounded extremely generic and all the character of a Jaguar was gone. Now, I love WRHBs in Jazzmasters (and have had some form of them in the bridge position in all mine for over a decade), but it turns out it's not the big 'step-up' in a Jag that it is in a JM. Must be something to do with the scale length and the Jag pickups being naturally quite raucous already.
So. The WRHBs are out. I'm still keeping the new switching system as I enjoy that, but the OG AV65 Jag pickups are back in their home.
"..strikes and gutters, ups and downs"
(yes, I'm glad this wasn't on the '67, no need to rub it in )
