Parchment, White or Cream pickup covers to go with Tortoise guard?
I'm planning a build and I'm not sure what color to order.

Which colour paint? I like Fender's aged white/cream on sunburst or dark vintage colours. I like parchment on OLY white because it matches better. All a matter of taste.

I would go parchment. A lot of new cream is too cream for me, especially against OLY. White is ok and is pretty close to OLY, but looks kind of cheap to me on most guitars. Makes me think of the plastic you see on $40 guitars in a pawn shop. Parchment has a slight off white quality that I feel makes the plastic parts look a little aged, but not crazy smoker dunked in coffee aged.
(Just my opinion. )

Agreed, parchment is the way to go. It's the closest to the paint. I agree 100% that bright white looks cheap, and cream is way too yellow looking on a new OLY guitar.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking Parchment was the way to go but I don't have any covers in front of me to compare and its hard to tell on the internet because everyone's monitor is different and I haven't found an example where people show the different colors next to a guard.
Of course, the next question is which tortoise to get... I'm thinking more red as opposed to the darker brown color.

Speaking of parchment pickup covers, is there a good source for parchment JM covers? I haven't found an obvious place to go. Most places seem to only have white, aged white and cream.

I get parchment Fender covers on ebay often. That way they match the parchment knobs more closely (if you make sure they are Fender knobs and not generic to the plastics are likely the same.)
