That is a close resistance match alright. What wire you used? AWG42 or 43?

Re: Yamaha SG2A /SG5 build
awg43
today i was busy cause i am in my morning week (wake up 3h30 )
but i have the afternoon and today there is some sun then i go out ,cold but not too much 12° Ci have thing to do and i put myself a big kick !
then today new guard template ,and i broke the blade of my band saw again ,need to find somebody who solder bandsaw blade cause it is again at the solder ,my bandsaw is crapy but it miss when you don't have
then i have made some routing for pups
2 versions
SG5 ,need a little filling and cutting if needed that i will do on platics cause i have made a double guard for 1 pups or 2 for the bridge
or SG2A
it busy me all the afternoon for 15 min of routing the preparation was awfull ,i have copy also the neck pocket open that i have in the old template ,need some sanding for the perimeter and i let the bridge place blank for adapt it to my bridge or maybe a new base that i will try in aluminium ,need 6 hole for the saddle spacing 10,4 mm and 2 other for stud 73 mm i think (job for milling machine undoable with my drill press )

Re: Yamaha SG2A /SG5 build
thanks Bjorn
no big progress du to weather became too cold outside
i try to do my own baseplate with my roller bridge ,the squarish bother me
then i find a Aluminium square tube 2 mm thick and 25 x25 mm that i cut in half ,and use the mill machine to mill at 11 mm hight and to center the hole, spacing 10,4 between string and 73,5 mm between the post is undoable with my drill press
it was the easy part
the bad i haven't M3,5 mm screws needed for my saddle (the old one are too short)
and haven't find M4 enought long totally thread at this time if i choose to rethread the saddle with easyer findable screws (M4 vs M3,5)
i have to drill the 5,9 mm hole for the post and cut the shape and i try to find a source for screws i hate when miss so little parts

Re: Yamaha SG2A /SG5 build
No i will reuse the mosrite style one cause too much complicated and long too make it from scratch
If so i will choose something to modify rather(too much different parts with differents size)

Re: Yamaha SG2A /SG5 build
If it was my build I'd enlarge those holes & tap them to M4.
Your troubles piqued my curiosity and I scoured the internet to see if I could find a decent supply - my conclusions is that machine screws in M3.5 are indeed an absolute pain to find!

Re: Yamaha SG2A /SG5 build
Impressive indeed. Are you going to try to put the "silver stripes" on both sides of the pole pieces?

today the guard ,long very long
and at the end i was tired and made a mistake ,i have filled to much the in between bridge pups down ,but i will not redo a guard for this (the spacing is not straight but now i see this maybe in one month i will forget it(this things make me crazy, less than 1 minute of innatention and tada shit happen ?
