Howdy gang!
Looks like we're back to (close to) weekly updates now. Good to be back posting here! As you guys will see in a moment ive been busy since the last huge post, and this is gonna be another relatively big one. Been working on a lot of cool stuff and some of my favorites so far. Let me know which one is your favorite
24" Scale Dreamweaver II in Aged Olympic White nitro. Yet another collaboration with our friends at Guitar Form (aka our own deed_poll aka my pal Dan Katz!) Dreamweaver headstock with black accent/swoosh, dots and binding rosewood 7.25" radius. Alnico V strat pickups surface mounted like jag pickups, OG switching with white rocker switches and white roller knobs. The huge grover milk bottle tuners, Its got it all! This one is on its way home to Japan for a cool cat named Daigh!
This one is a symbol of change within me lol. I used to hate sunburst guitars; I painted over dozens of them when i was learning how to paint and never once liked how any of them looked stock. But after seeing a few 60's jags in person, my opinion slowly started to change. I realized i dont actually hate sunburst, i hate
modern sunburst. You know, with barely any red, a middle thats often more orange than amber or yellow, etc. But this one is obviously not like that. Modeled after 67 jaguar style specs, this "Fatcat III" is like if someone owned a jag in 67 and cut the pickguard for an extra middle pickup and a bass vi switch plate. "Target burst" nitro closet clean finish, blocked and bound neck, Spitfire tort guard, and 3 handwound jaguar pickups. A sight to behold and a sound to adore!
Continuing the theme of extremely vintage styled builds, we have this Jag style partscaster i put together for a customer, Chad. He sent all the parts down to the wiring components and screws and had us paint and assemble this beauty as well as the jm style build below. Truly living up to his name
Guitar mill body, musikraft neck, lollar jag pickups, J Marr jaguar bridge, spitfire aged white wide bevel pickguard, aged sea foam green light relic nitro.
Chads second parts build is a jm style in Aged sonic blue nitro w/matching headstock. He sent us all the parts for this one along with the jg, even a prewired harness which was appreciated to save us a bit of work! Very subtle yellowing to this one as well, but gives it that "old but not abused" look i think!
Guitar mill body, Musikraft neck, SD JM pickups, Staytrem bridge, spitfire pickguard, aged sonic blue light relic nitro.
These next two are just refins, but very cool ones for forum members! My budz Adam (NOCamping_4U) and Zach (i think hes a member here lol) dropped these off for some work a few months ago, and picked some sweet colors for me to spray. Burgundy Mist on the Bass VI build and Teal Green Metallic on the JM-XII. Oh yeah
A hot pink relic refin for this Pawn Shop Mustang Special!
And lastly but not leastly, forumite smjenkins' AmPro2 JM in Miami Blue was sent my way for a clear neck finish for the new neck, matching headstock and matching pickguard. This was an extremely hard color to match, and it took us multiple attempts to get something close enough to pass. Its still not quite a
perfect match but everyone is happy with it. This is what we in the paint biz call an "adjacent panel" and that means its a PITA to match because its right up against the original paint. The headstock as you can see is non-adjacent and looks like a much more perfect match with some distance between. Oh well, thems the breaks!
BONUS: Mockup for a personal build im planning. Super deluxe with vibrato in the oh-so-divisive Antigua. I love it

Thinking about potentially making it a baritone 27" scale, or possibly adding a rhythm circuit or both.. What say you?
Thanks for hanging in the thread yall! I'll be back next week (or sometime soon) with another update for yas!
