I don't have a source for those. You are indeed seeing the lock from a few year old AVRI unit. I really did look for something that could work for the lock button, but came up empty.ryandennis wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 2:06 pmThese look really interesting, do you happen to have a source for the rounded lock buttons or are these from an older avri unit?

Thanks for the feedback folks! Here's the vibrato installed on my Artemis no1 build, which seemed the most appropriate test guitar for this, but also because I had the strings off so I could shield the pickguard (I also switched to clear knobs). Now I'm going to be spending some time abusing this vibrato and putting it through its paces. FWIW I am trying to think up something to improve the Mustang, but that's a tough nut to crack.

Finally, after years of mentioning that an ambidextrous vibrato would make much more sense...

Balls TF-5. Wee little Tweed Princeton (5F2A) circuit in a head format. 13.5" x 8" x 8". Pretty much stock except for selectable output impedance.

Also interested to see what you’d come up with to improve the mustang vibrato.

I've been meanng to wire up this pickguard for ages so I can finally drop this Strat off with my Scott @ Pittsburgh Guitars to finish it. He does a much better job finishing it/ installing a nut and such than I ever could dream of.

Not completely my workbench, but still... As I'm going for surgery on Wednesday, I wanted to tidy up a few things, at least to clear my head a bit. So I bought a few extra boxes and reorganized my parts. Yes, there's one whole box just for knobs.

Is there anything more satisfying? Everything getting it's own little sub division.
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Wired and ready to be dripped off for the nut to be cut and final set up on thursday

Brass saddles replaced with steel ones, just waiting for pickups. Pickups are being wound at the moment.
