I went hardtail for my build but now I'm regretting it, should've gotten it anodized too but got two completely different quotes on the anodising so gave it a miss.AlumNeck wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 5:17 amAmazing their heavy almost 12 pounds of full aluminum noise machine. You can always swap back or switch the neck. That the best thing about Fender.X-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 4:48 amI went hardtail for my build but now I'm regretting it, should've gotten it anodized too but got two completely different quotes on the anodising so gave it a miss.AlumNeck wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 5:17 amAmazing their heavy almost 12 pounds of full aluminum noise machine. Took about a year and a half, I am done though they are exactly what I wanted likely sell or trade one of them.X-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 11:35 pmSeen them on the Aluminium Axes page, how long was the lead time on those considering the recent EGC backlog shitshow?

Interesting, what makes you not want to keep them both?AlumNeck wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 8:18 amTook about a year and a half, I am done though they are exactly what I wanted likely sell or trade one of them.X-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 11:35 pmSeen them on the Aluminium Axes page, how long was the lead time on those considering the recent EGC backlog shitshow?

Ah that makes sense, would you hang onto the distressed or gold one?AlumNeck wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:34 amMoney unfortunately:( times the tough!

I would be happy with either to be honest they are so ridiculously identical the only real difference is the Gold one is a little stiffer finish with the powder coat. The crazy part is you can actually tell the difference as the brushed one resonates just a little bit more but the gold one a little more even or smooth.X-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:31 amAh that makes sense, would you hang onto the distressed or gold one?
