Oh man, I just started reading A Storm of Swords (again) after years of disappointment from Season 8…
This was actually very good once!

I wonder if I would have been as disappointed with Season 8 if I didn't have the whole internet telling me how badly it sucked. I like to think so, but I can't be sure.

Unfortunately they rushed the season because the show runners wanted to move on to other projects, namely a Star Wars film and their Netflix deal. In an ironic twist, I think season 8 ruined a ton of their plans, plus they had a show lined up for HBO about what if the American Confederacy had won that didn’t garner a great reaction from the masses.

If the pricing (and the 40% discount) is roughly what you said for the finished version I'm still in for two!

If everybody else wants unfinished, that's fine, too.

It's 40% on the first neck (as noted on page 8 ) for the first 10 OSG participants, then 20% thereafter for OSG members who buy direct from me (vs. Reverb, eBay, etc.).

I’m team unfinished, 120 dollars goes a long way, especially with shipping in mind. A bottle of tru-oil would cost me about 10% of that.
If the majority wants finished I won’t opt out though. Merely preference.

Understood, but you're not factoring in the discount and you're on the initial list of 10. The 40% discount makes your first neck $216 and the 20% OSG-direct discount is $288.00. For those prices, nitro over poly is pretty tough to beat.

I'm really hoping that we have no surprises on the back-end as far as pricing is concerned. I'm already daydreaming about the next OSG-inspired project.

On ETA, it's too soon even to speculate. This order hasn't even been written up yet, much less assigned a spot in the queue at the OEM.

This will be my first-ever offshore collaboration, so I have no idea what to expect.

The good news is that I've been down this road before. It's likely that some will drop out and others will join in. I'm pretty comfortable that these necks will get sold one way or another. It's just a matter of when.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the guitars that will result from this. I wasn't in the market for one of these myself, as I have my own D+B Jaguar project getting clear coated atm. I know OSG will turn these into some cool guitars though.

I'm trying to figure out if I want to pull the neck off the Surf Green pickup test mule to have the Charcoal Frost one together now... OR wait for one of these necks. LOL I do also have a Chinese eBay roasted maple B&B neck I haven't mounted to anything, too... UGH! DECISIONS!!!

One of these AllParts necks is going on my orange sparkle Marrguar, though. That's for sure.

I‘m between ordering a Thinline Jag Body from Saylor vs. from German seller „Deutsches Tonholz“ vs. debating with the chinese factory who sent me that TOM-Jazzmaster Thinline thing… weather I can get a 24“ or an bot-yet-routed body vs. getting something from MJT‘s ebay listings (very few closet clean listings and almost no Jag listings at all… basically just over-aged Jazzmaster and Strat-Bodies) vs. ordering a Vintera II Vintage White 70s Jag and selling the neck…
