Any guitars that survived in "case queen" condition from the 50s-70s always makes me wonder why, if there aren't reasons already given on the ad. In some cases I wonder if it's because it's just not a particularly good one - not all guitars are built equal even if they're from what is considered a good point of a maker's history.
Oh, yeah, I've definitely played some OLD guitars that were aesthetically gorgeous... And then found out why they were never picked up. A lot of them just didn't feel good in the hand.

Exactly that! I've played a few too, mint as can be, vintage, no soul. It's why I'm more likely to stick with guitars that need some work doing to get the best of them (both the Jag and Meteora qualify, especially the Meteora recently; fret work sucked, some of the electronics were failing, all sorted now) because the feel is right. I'm always happy to pick up a £4k guitar and feel nothing, then try a £200 Squier and go "wow this thing is hard to put down" and it does happen.

I keep telling the wife if I buy vintage it'll probably be a well-loved refin.

My new build. Guitar Mill Coke Bottle Green body, Allparts neck, Curtis Novak JM-GF pickups (replaced the goldfoil covers with aluminum covers), Mastery stuff, James Home of Tone Series wiring, Kluson tuners, Van Dyke-Harms knobs. Thing is nuts.

Literally one of the most unique, interesting and downright cool 8) Jazzmasters I've ever seen. The double-up on the Mastery parts adds to the aesthetic of the guitar. Does it sound as awesome as it looks?

Thank you. It does sound great, has a very fat, P-90 tone to it, and the series wiring gives it an extra growl.

Not mine, but I spotted this CV Bass VI on Facebook marketplace and think some of you will appreciate it. I'd have gone for a different pickguard myself, but the paint color looks great.

The Fiesta Red is awesome, but Sherwood Green with matching headstock? Come on.

Damn. That one is tempting. The mint guard was way too green on the lake placid blue one, but it works really well on the sherwood. I don't even like matching headstocks for the most part, but I cannot argue with the results in this case.

Is it only from Fender? I went to order one on GC but they only had the LPB and red ones, sadly (? Maybe. A good thing actually lol)

Yes, the limited edition Paranormal colours are exclusive to Fender

I see there's also the Rascal bass in shell pink & candy apple red...

My girlfriend swears that this is blue but I’m convinced that it’s green!

Danelectro calls it “aqua sparkle” and according to the HSV color wheel aqua sits exactly between blue and green making us either both right or both wrong.

She’s a hair stylist and was impressed with my use of a color wheel to come to my final conclusion, haha.

What do you think?
reverb.

It strikes me as more green. But, I’m partially colorblind so…
