From Guitarpartsworldwide but I wouldn't rush into ordering some until you've witnessed mine actually arrive. They've been good with deliveries in the past for me, but I've also had other people's orders turn up at my house out of nowhere and had to send them back, so I'm always a bit cautious.

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Yup, not the clearest website, but the guy that runs it is very pleasant.

Re: MOTORIK II - headstock redrilled for for white tuners
Well, the tuners arrived, and I like them, but lo and behold, they have 1/4" shafts and the conversion bushings I have in the headstock are for 6mm metric shafts.
I knew I was getting ahead of myself when I put them in yesterday, so they have had to come out and in desperation I've ordered three different sets of replacements from three different places in the hope of getting some that fit. They're all so vague about their sizes. I wasn't keen on the look of the ones I had anyway, but I could have done without another few days of waiting.
Still, it gives me a chance to show off my new fancy bushing puller:

Bolt through the bushing, 13mm hole in the block of wood - really smooth, minimal chipping. I'll try using it to insert the next set.
This is a mock-up with the stock loose bushings:

Doesn't look particularly special when you see just the headstock, but when I try it with the whole thing it looks much better:

Yes - model no. SD9105MNP I if that's any help. They're just slightly off white - almost exactly the colour of the old japanese pickup covers I'm using.

They work for me.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Re: MOTORIK II - tuner cock-up and mock-up
Cheers Mark.
Postman arrived today without any spectacularly fast bushing deliveries. I was hoping for a miracle.
Last night, though, I suddenly remembered I'd forgotten to lift the ground on the bridge pickup when I wired it up for the phase switch so...

I disconnected the wire that joins the pickup and the claw, and soldered a new ground wire from the claw to the shielding. Now when I reverse the phase on the pickup the claw stays grounded, instead of becoming a massive aerial. I'd noticed when I had it plugged in the other day that the out-of-phase position was the only noisy one, so hopefully this will solve that. It was something on a GFS spec sheet that reminded me, talking about how you need to do this with tele bridge pickups.
