Thanks guys.
Was very sad to box this up today - it should be in Zurich by now. Hopefully it will pop back up on the forum from time to time.
I took as many traces and measurements as I possibly could from the trem - next step is to draw up some plans and start contacting places about getting some replicas made.

Ok, it's about time I introduced myself as the proud new owner of the wonderful Motorik II!
I had been following both Motorik builds with great interest from their beginning, and when I saw this up for sale, I just couldn't resist
Especially with the current rate of Swiss Francs vs. Pounds!
I can definitely confirm the craftsmanship on this guitar is incredible. Such attention for detail.. you immediately notice it's an instrument created with a lot of love. The neck plays very well: I'm liking the shape/countour more every day... it just feels so comfortable in hands. The color is really cool and unique... I love green guitars! The sound is very detailed and clear (for lack of better words)... and overall, it seems extremely versatile. I used it for Big Band Jazz yesterday!
Ben has been extremely nice to deal with and very helpful. Thanks again, man! I feel kinda bad at times for taking "his precious" away from him... hope he doesn't regret it.
Here are some pics of the guitar in its new home. I'll try to take some daylight pics as soons as I get a chance, i.e. next time I get to see daylight when outside the office

Ben: If you need any more measurements, I'm always glad to help, just let know...theworkoffire wrote: I took as many traces and measurements as I possibly could from the trem - next step is to draw up some plans and start contacting places about getting some replicas made.

Thanks for the pics, though. And great to hear that it's getting out and about. Can't say that big band jazz was on my mind when I built it...awesome!

Wasn't on my mind either... I just took it to band practice because I didn't want to stop playing ittheworkoffire wrote:Can't say that big band jazz was on my mind when I built it...awesome!

Tonight she's gonna get some funk workout at rehearsal with my other band... can't wait to hear her through RAT (clone) -> Boss PH-1r -> Space Echo (RE-20) .. yeah baby!

does anyone have photos of this guitar on a usable platform? This is one of my favorite guitars ever...I used to have some, but IDK where they are...
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Are we talking about this incarnation of the Motorik?

That's awesome.
I was thinking of one that was a darker green...but also had a blackguard. It was for sale here, a couple of years ago.
edit:
found it.
