Nice work Ludo. Do you have the actual neck profile of the SG-2?

thanks ,no profil of sg2 or sgv (that i find to thin at first case to my tastes)
the profil is my profil ,C with first fret at 22 mm ,12 fret at 23.5 mm ,large 42 at nut a little thinner than my marauder ( 42,5 mm)and in the same range as my jazzmaster or mosrite ,no to big not to thin ,i dislike thin neck and narrow nut ,and just 0,5 mm of différence change the feel i find ,thin neck crisp my hand ,and too big i haven't the finger for (small hand)even if if i find it more confortable than ibanez or shredder neck (large ,flat and thin (D?)

What if you make the pick guard a bit longer for fitting the jack? That way the pots can be spaced out further...

I see the printed bobbins have different size openings for the steel. What is the purpose of that?

for the steel with the screws and for the magnet ,i have ask to have the same form as original then original cover ,magnet ,and steel will fit(i don't ask to reproduce exactly the pattern under (not visible and more harder to make)

This is getting ridiculously cool, Ludo. I can't wait to see it finished :)

Those pickups look great - did you find a way to use those magnets I sent you or did you have to order some?

Hi Seb
i have ask some gap for magnet in bobin ,yours are 61 to 61,5mm then i can mount both ,i have order 3 then with yours i can try with 6 (60 mm are the order one like the real thing on the SB pickups )
if 6 are too much ,i will have spare for my sg3 to come ( i have just picked an ash plank of 65 mm thick or more 500 X 350 mm for the body than my friend give me cause it is an offcut of his furniture ,he made a table top in ash then he have to buy ash and add lot of offcut :D ,as he made his guitar too he knows what to do with :D
i try to speed a little on woodworking cause week to come seems to be hard du to weather to work on ,rain is coming (each times when i am in the morning week the weather go bad :fp:
the finish have too wait spring ,now

Good stuff Ludo.

Can you please tell me what distance (in mm) you have between the outer pole pieces (center to center) for your bridge pickup?

Thanks
