I don't think you could separate the pairs with pickups, the strings are too close together. You'd have to leave them in pairs, and hexaphonic pickups/output already exist.
My Fender goes to twelve.

Ah, I (and my previous post) stand corrected. Blame the Valium!stereordinary wrote:Actually that plate wasn't originally ordered for you Steve. Someone else (can't remember who now) had requested it, I got it, and then they decided they didn't need it anymore. So I had it spare. You do still have a six-keyhole plate coming your way though.

It does exist! Rickenbacker made 330/12s with a "comb converter" thing that you could use to mute the high strings:noisepunk wrote: Damnit, I don't want to know HOW it would exist, I just want it to exist!

I had a go on one once. It works, but looks awful.

Okay, I'll admit it. I need all the help I can get with this wiring.

Does anybody have any idea how to wire this thing up? Each pickup has three leads coming off of it (black, red, and green). And the slider switches each only have two lugs.

That head stock is so sexy. CBS Fender could have really used your help Paul.
I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

I may be totally wrong but isn't it a hot and a ground wire from the pickup winding and a ground from the cover? Like the braided pickup wires?stereordinary wrote:Okay, I'll admit it. I need all the help I can get with this wiring.

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?
