Special Pickups

Post by dj_techa » Mon Feb 25, 2008 5:08 pm

Greetings,
A few months ago i saw a pickup for an upright bass that was split into four individual parts.  So it was 4 individual wound poles, and they were staggered on the top of the bass.  Im wondering if anyone knows who makes a guitar version, or could explain what i need/how to build ones.  Any suggestions?

I've seen those too, I really like the concept.  All you'd really need is something to holed the pole-pieces horizontally and spin 'em really fast.  I have a wood lathe that I'm going to try it out on.
