I totally forgot about this guy:

Makes real nice looking tortoise material. Has anyone tried to get a Jazzmaster guard made by him?

he claims to be able to " reproduce virtually ANY pickguard material from the turn of the century to the present"

I've seen some of this guys tort in real life on a friends acoustic, and various examples in pictures and it's very accurate to the styles it was copying (particularly the firestripe on my friends guitar, that looked  :?).

Is no one interested that he can reproduce vintage tort accurately?

The size of his blanks might be a bit of a worry - 8" x 4". If he's making them himself that might be the biggest he can do, which is useless for Fenders.

It's also solid tort and not sandwiched—which one would want if trying to get a authentic looking Fender guard.
