After a few months of ordering, re-ordering, and re-re-ordering parts, i finally finished building my Jazzmaster.
The Pickups are AVRIs, the neck is from a friends 60s reissue strat, and the body and hardware are CIJ, b/c i've always loved the feel of fender japan guitars.  The rhythm circuit has a repro gibson bumble bee capacitor, and my Orange Drop Varitone switch should be here soon.  The volume pot is a push pull with a phase switch on the bridge pickup, and the tone knob is a Mid scoop when pulled up.  Im setting up the neck today, and so far it plays like a dream!

Very nice!  There's something about a gold guard on vintage white.  Please update us on the varitone when you get it installed.  By the way, whose varitone are you using?

Thanks, i was actually planning to do a rosewood neck.  But i decided to eat this month instead.

If i can't wait, i'll maybe get a CIJ and do the same thing. Or i'll use my black CIJ pickguard that's lying (is that - lying - right? i always get confused when it comes to this) around...

Again, we need more pictures of this.

Right now im home visiting family in Michigan, when i get back next week i will take some more pics.  Its playing its first show tonight!
