Anybody have experience with these Chinese B+B necks on ebay?
There are several Chinese sellers listing Blocks and binding necks on ebay. I'm sure you guys have seen these, but search only shows one real result of somebody using them on a project. If you've bought one of these necks for a project, please tell me about your experience.

No experience of them but those Gibson-style block inlays always hurt my eyes. The first 7 frets just look fucking wrong, especially the first one.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Re: Anybody have experience with these Chinese B+B necks on ebay?
I love B&B necks on Fenders, and up until recently, lamented the limited options for us fans. I am glad to see Fender, and other people giving us more choices at different price points. If you look at the new GL necks with blocks, or the Suhr guitars with blocks, they look pretty close to the dimensions of the original Fenders of the mid 60s.
However: those aren't the right dimensions for blocks-- they look like Gibson blocks, which is something I can't stand--they look terrible. Regardless of the build quality, if the MAIN SELLING POINT doesn't even look correct, I wouldn't waste my money. If you put this on a guitar it will always look like a cheap knock off-- which I guess isn't necessarily a problem for most people.
I bought an All-parts B&B neck-- and that cost quite a bit more, but I am happy with it.

I bought a chinese lefty Tele neck for my jazzcaster/telemaster. I like the feel of the neck, but the nut needed replaced, it was horrible. Truss rod functions properly, frets needed a bit of dressing but nothing worse than some squires ive had. Considering what I paid for it...I couldn't be happier with it overall.
What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

I have literally never seen one of those.
I will keep my eyes peeled, because that would pretty much be an instant-buy for me.

I can almost guarantee there'll be some kind of issue, probably with the frets, but at that price it's almost worth a punt anyway.
The fretboard overhangs so you'd better check that's something you can work with. Same goes for the heel shape.

Bought a dotted and bound neck like this 2 years ago. Works well, needed a fret level but otherwise fine. Holes in the headstock are drilled for strat style screw in machine heads instead of klusons, so conversion bushings are needed too.
Neck heel is the right radius, but slightly wider than a standard fender heel due to the thick finish.

Re: Anybody have experience with these Chinese B+B necks on ebay?
Sorry for the warming up of this old thread - but it appeared more logical to me to post them here in the already existing Chinese B&B thread than in my own "wanted" or to the recently posted ad in the for sale section...
So, NEWS:
For the first time I've seen not one - but multiple listings of 24" B&B necks on eBay - all with good and big blocks - some even slightly too big! (aren't we offsetters hard to please?) but still looking good! So no Gibson-esque Blocks here!
The strange thing is, that these all got a overhanging fretboard. I mean why? I only know this from Strats - would this be to achieve a smaller scale length on a Strat (e.g. for a teen as a "starter" guitar) - but on a Jaguar?
I guess I would have to adapt the pickguard to that thing because just sawing it off is a no go with binding!
If anyone can explain that to me - please step in!
unfinished, biiiiig blocks
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unfinished-Map ... 0008.m2219
really big blocks too
https://www.ebay.com/itm/DIY-electric-g ... 0005.m1851
...best looking block size
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Electric-Guita ... 0005.m1851
Does anyone of you have any experience with these sellers/builders or and especially these necks?
There are 25,5" scale necks too - some "regular" and others with overhanging fretboards too...
