This thread is the most "HNB" thing I've ever read - "Well, after embarking on my last build ever, I figured why not build four basses. Also, four basses is now five basses."

I don't know how you're going to stop. I think partscasters are in your blood at this point.
+1 and if he does actually stop, OSG will be much the poorer for it. i ALWAYS look forward to these threads

While working on shielding I put the guard on the Kraken body to see how it should look. I dig it. :)

Check out the songs 'Them Changes', and 'A Fan's Mail'.
Cool stuff. Seems to like using a flanger or chorus with his bass? Never seen a six string bass like his before.

That six string semihollow? It's his signature model from Ibanez. Costs about 8,000 bucks.
Yea, he uses all sorts of modulation effects a lot of the time.
Sounds like maybe an auto wah on some tracks.

He's a cool guy. He sings about his cat, anime and all kinds of other wacky stuff.
He's got a line in Dragonball Durag that goes "I might be covered in cat hair, but I still smell good."
He's a big fan of Frank Zappa, so he's got to be eccentric on some level, right?

Edit: Forgot to mention, he was also the bassist for Suicidal Tendencies at some point.

The Kraken is done. I really like how it turned out. Soundwise the Hots sound similar to me to the Quarterpounders. I got a custom testicle strap for it and the neckplate is also custom to go with my custom decal. :)

I’d really like to know where you’re getting these cool neck plates from.

That looks really good. I am guessing you meant tentacle strap, rather than testicle!

Here are some updates. The aging is done on the remaining two basses. Here are progress pictures. They just need checking and wood darkening.
