update.
I've had a hard time getting on with this guitar- there's nothing particularly wrong with it, but the neck and the rich lite fingerboard just wasn't doing it for me. At the same time, i wanted to convert my JMJM XII back to 6 string duty, so I mixed things up a bit, painted the headstock and here's the final result:
