SORTED!

After swapping the TVL trem onto it, it was apparent it was the body route. Which was good, because after 30 minutes of sanding it's now smooth as hell!!

Just the nut dress and replacement selector switch to go and then we're flying.

I'm terrible at updating, it's been done for around a fortnight!!

Plays and sounds absolutely fab. The pickups are so clear. It's not as loud and compressed as my JM- almost like the best of a Tele in the bridge and a Strat in the neck.

The '71 Mustang neck is super comfy. So much so that I'm eyeing a '71 LPB Compstang on Reverb...

All in all, 10/10. Now the plate was dowled for the screws so I may do that in the future... but I kinda like the junkiness of it. It's a bit rough around the edges. This thing is gonna get played hard so I like the fact it feels kinda Pawn Shop esque.

That looks INCREDIBLE! 😍 (and your cat is super cute too!) I'm glad it's playing nicely now!
