Where’d you get that pickguard and how much did it cost if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve had this Warmoth Jag with Mojotone Jonny Winters pickups for a couple years but want a pickguard cut for the pickups instead of rings. I thought I would like the extra chrome but it’s a bit much for me.

It was made by Pickguardian and the cost was $65 shipped. I sent him the original guard that was on the guitar to use as a template for a perfect match, plus I included a tracing showing exactly where I wanted the pickup routes to be. The guard is perfect, though it did take more than a month for him to get to it and I had to check in once to nudge him.my main man wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 10:00 amWhere’d you get that pickguard and how much did it cost if you don’t mind me asking? I’m a huge fan. I have 1M pots so the guitar sounds truly different from any other guitar I have.JamesSGBrown wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 3:31 amHow the pickups sound? They can get pretty close to a standard Jag sound but they’re a little fuller or rounder sounding. Hard to explain. Them being a true Firebird pickup instead of a standard mini-hum was the selling point and I’m glad I got them.

Sweet. I'm putting 500k pots in mine, hoping for a fattish Tele sound, which in my mind is the perfect guitar sound!my main man wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 7:28 amI’m a huge fan. I had some help from fellow OSGers to wire this one up. Novak Humbucker Gold Foils in a 70's modified 1965 Mustang. Sounds great!!

My Mustang build with '65 DeArmond Silverfoils:
Mostly '69 parts except the body, pickguard, and older Pat Pend tremolo. The upper switch is mute | standard | series.

Re: Post pictures of your Jazzmaster/Jaguar/Mustang with Alternative Pickups
here's my jazzmaster/jaguar mashup..
fender classic player JM body, squier affinity JM neck.
pulled the goldfoils from a no-name japanese SG copy - probably teisco family - and made a custom pickguard to fit jag control plates for added bling.
diamond plate has on/off for both pickups and a phase switch. rhythm circuit bypassed for now, may put in a fuzz circuit sooner or later.
stripped the body of its black paint and gave it a walnut stain.
have a rockinger neck coming in for this one, as i don't get along with the thin neck and the 12" radius.

After two months of waiting (!) my new pickguard from Pickguardian finally arrived, so I was able to put Firebird pickups in my Bilindastang.
