New Project : Sherwood Ocean Green Turquoise PartsMaster

Post by pikmin » Thu Oct 29, 2020 11:35 am

I always dreamed of having a Sherwood Green Jazzmaster .
I found a nice and not expensive green alder body and a new Fender Classic player neck for 200 euros .
I have a pair of excellent vintage style pickups by Q pickups , and have some bridges , a tortoise pickguard , a trem and some American vintage tuners waiting for a while .

So , a new PartsMaster is coming in the next weeks ...
I hope everything will turn good .

Happy , happy .

So , I received the body and the neck and everything looks really good .

Actually , the color of the body is a light Sherwood green , almost like a mix of Sherwood green and Ocean turquoise with a twist of Seafoam ahah .
But I really love the color .

The neck looks really good and is a perfect fit .

I’m waiting for the last small parts . My plan is to finish it next weekend .

Looks good - a real nice colour. Nice tint on that neck too.

I finished it and I’m happy .
It’s a really nice Jazzmaster .

I always wanted a greenish jazzzmaster .
Sometimes it really looks like a Light Sherwood green but it depends of the light .
Sometimes it looks exactly like a Mystic Seafoam green and sometimes it even looks like Ocean Turquoise .
Actually I love it And it was pretty cheap .
The neck is a Classic Player neck .
That I got for pretty cheap too.
Pickups are the vintage style forme Q_pickups , Some of my favorite Jazzmaster pickups .
Tuners are from a classic 60s Lacquer Jazzmaster , String tree is American vintage , the bridge is a very stable vintage style bridge from my CIJ Jaguar and the trem is the old Original one from my Squier J.Mascis . It works really well for now , maybe I will upgrade the trem later .

The guitar is a joy to play , it sounds great and I think it’s the less heavy of my 4 Jazzmasters .

Happy happy .
