Swept Wing Obsession Continues

Post by niksureal » Tue Nov 03, 2020 7:36 am

I finally built my dream Swept Wing. All the specs and finish I think are perfect for this type of guitar. I think I am done building this shape now.

This build is based on this guitar, which I believe to be one of the prototypes.

Find out who today's equivalent of Bo Diddley is, get them playing one, and you'll have orders flowing in in no time.

I can definitely see a '50s swamp rocker with a Betty Page fringe who wishes she'd been around when The Cramps were last hiring, or some dyed-in-the-wool garage psychedelicists with pudding-bowl hairdos and oblong granny specs playing something like this too.

That's super rad! Looks much better than the original prototype. Are these GFS Surf 90s? They are a perfect match visually. I still don't know how they sound. Should I order a set for my Les Paul?

Gorgeous. I agree that the surf 90's are visually the perfect match for this guitar.

Oh god this monstrosity*.

*by which I mean probably my favorite-looking V except for the janky-AF neck and headstock joints
