That is giving me a very strong Nels Cline vibe for sure. Looks great!

Yeah, I like this a lot. If it were mine I’d knock down the shine on the pickguard.

I pulled a 180 today. The guard wasn't fitting well around the neck and it was bugging me so I swapped it with my US Fender one that is a darker tort. Then I decided to throw on black plastic... It doesn't look as much like Cline's Jazzy, but I am liking the look. :)

What did you use as a sealant? Urethane? Lacquer?

The Mastery tremolo arrived and I got it finished up. I still say Antiquity II pickups are the supreme Jazzmaster pickups. Bridge isn't ice picky, the neck isn't muddy, and the middle position is an awesome noiseless sound. :D Here are pictures. :D

I love this build!

2 questions:

1. What are the major differences between antiquity 1’s vs 2?

2. Where did you get the custom neck plate?

I use this guy for custom plates.

I don't know why I like them move than I's. I just do in every audio demo I have heard on youtube and the ones in our forum here. There is just something special about them to me. I know people have different tastes, so it might not be the same for everyone of course. :D

Thanks! I am very attached to this one. I have a lot of guitars, but there are only a few I wouldn't see myself letting go. This moved into that realm as it came together. I really like how the black stain worked and I like the dark plastics and dark tort. It looks classy to me. The black ufo tip sent it over the top. :D

Nice build, looks really solid and the engraved plates are neat :) FWIW I was about to get Antiquity II's at some point as I preferred them in the demos that I heard, but that turned into a completely different set and don't think I'll end up with more than one JM...

Does the Mastery UFO tip fit on AVRI or Goeldo/Duesenberg trem arms? It'd be the icing on the cake for a build I'm thinking of...
Jazzmaster project (got a body, placeholder neck, some pickups and ideas)
Tokai Telecaster Thinline with Creamery Pickups Filtertron and Tapped Tele
Blake Mills-inspired Strat project w/ Gold Foil and slide pickup

I read someone say that they did, but I don't have an avri arm to try so I am not sure. They are awesome though.
