Hey twinsies!

When I got mine from Rosser a couple of years ago the pickup cavities were a little bit undersized and I had to dremel it a bit, glad to see he's fixed it since!

Super interested to see what you make out of the finish, since I was obviously too chicken to do anything interesting with mine.

I had originally planned a pale, translucent pink stain with a rose gold glitter finish on the top, however the quality of the stain I got was lacking, so I sanded it off and went with a pink dye, instead. I thinned it 1:1 with rubbing alcohol and it really pops!

it made me question my commitment to the rose gold top, however after a color test, I'm all in. The top is a 75% fill and the bottom is full saturation. I'm going to try for 75%, but it may be difficult to get consistent coverage. I wound be mad if i have to do full saturation.

I was not expecting that at all but it looks great.

I spent about 20 minutes and did a rough 3D sketch for a headstock on a junk neck I had laying around. It’s more of a concept than the final execution, just to play with some ideas. I’d love your feedback.

Did you do any grain filling or are you planning on doing anything before clearcoat? I have a similar body that I'll be working on later this year (the humidity has started here and I'm not going to risk it).

I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it tho (might ebony stain and then fill grain with silver rub n buff for a kinda dog hair thing).... or if I want it solid or what.

I grain filled the back and sides with art resin, sanded the high spots and re-dyed it. I'll be spraying 2k, so it was probably unnecessary.

I used Plaid Folk Art Ultra Dye, thinned 1:1 with rubbing alcohol.
