All finished! I used two Stew Mac shims to make sure the neck worked with the thicker humbucker pickups. I am really happy with how it worked out. The 52mm bridge is really nice!

The American Pro ones. I was lucky and got two for $70 each. They are 9.5 radius and 52mm. :)

Looks great! What brand of mint guard is that? I like that it doesn't look neon green, some of them are WAY too green. Looks right on this colour combo.

Looks really good. I’ve got a sonic blue Strat in parts, this makes me think I need to put it back together.

Not sure if you can tell in the picture above, but the mint guard was crooked. I took off screws to get it right and just couldn't get that right side to look right. I decided to pull the MIM neck and tremolo for my Bloody Jazzmaster and use an AVRI tremolo coming in and an Allparts neck on it I am finishing. I brought down some of my guards and a tort one fit the shape much better. No idea why, but it is what it is. I like it. :D Just need to finish the neck for it and the tremolo to arrive and get it back together. I am also going to order a 1.5 degree shim from stewmac because of the humbucker pickups being a little higher than Jazzy ones.

I love my sonic blue tex mex Strat. best neck shape of any Strat I've ever played. I'd love to find another from that series.

looks lovely with tort, but I'm biased. had a sonic blue Squier Jazzmaster I put tort on, now I've got a Daphne JM with tort. Also, Rei is my favorite. The tortoise guitar hints at her red eyes a little better.

I got this body from horseblanket. :) He also included a MIM Jazzy neck. The only issue it had was a broken screw in the tremolo area. I ordered an extractor bit and it only took like five minutes to get the screw out. I will glue in a piece of 1/4" dowel and it will be all good.
coincidently, I broke a screw like this on my Jaguar when mounting the Mute assembly. I opted to use a 1/4 plug bit to cut out a plug of alder, as I was worried about screwing into the end grain of a dowel. End grain isn't an issue for your vibrato plate screw, but the mute screw will be countering a bit of upward force. I have THIS THREAD to thank for the idea.

Did you seal or paint or anything over your dowel, or did you just glue it in flush with the body surface?

I just glued it flush. :) I didn't paint over it since the tremolo will sit over it anyways. :)

Little change up. Because the neck pickup sits a little too high I decided to put a normal Jazzy pickup there and keep the bridge humbucker. (I will use the neck humbucker in the bridge position of a different guitar. :)) I decided to use black covers since I had no hole black covers I could drill out to work with the humbucker. I just taped the sides to hold them in place and used the original holes as pilot holes for the new cover. Worked great!
