I won’t buy from Stratosphere. They have made mistakes in my orders a couple times and never replied. I had to file a return and wait for a refund. Most recently they sent me two of the wrong necks. I just wanted to exchange but they didn’t reply to my eBay message or the email I sent via their website. I will use all parts for my neck, but not stratosphere again.

I've had good luck with Stratosphere until they jacked up their shipping to Australia.
Also, Their prices are insanely expensive. So much so that other people selling parts use that as a reference
so everything is damn expensive now!

I ordered a Jaguar pick guard from them once & they sent me an SG pick guard. I contacted them about the error & returning it & they never replied so I tried a few more times & finally informed them that I was getting eBay involved. They responded very harshly but I got everything worked out & then they banned me. I have ordered from them a few more times under a different email address but only because they have a good selection. I'm not a huge fan of theirs but they usually have what I need when I am looking for parts but I do agree with Cross about the price.
We are merely moving shadows.

I will likely just message Arkansas music on eBay for necks now. They normally can eat me what I want if they don’t have it listed neck wise. I would rather pay a little more or put out more work to deal with better service. I get mistakes happen, but ignoring your customers pisses me off enough to go elsewhere unless I cannot avoid it. :)

I've only used Stratosphere once. I bought a Strat tremolo from them. The arm they sent was the wrong one (too skinny). Took an act of Congress to get them to send me the right one. Then they didn't want the wrong arm back, which means someone else got a trem arm that was too wide to fit into their trem. That was years ago but I decided they had just wronged 2 people and didn't give a flying f%$# so they must be in no need of my business. Plenty of other parts suppliers willing to actually help you out.

Thanks! I was really excited as the stain went on. It is cool how you never know how it is going to work and absorb with wood. Sometimes it brings out things you wouldn't notice otherwise. :D

Pickguard came so I was able to shield it and get it all put together. I just need the neck to come in. :D This pickguard is so cool. I got it on Etsy from Stormguitar in Korea.

Neck came in today. I am really psyched. It doesn't need any finish. Once I do a decal, I will do some clear over it to protect the decal, but I am leaving the rest raw. I already installed a tusq nut. :) It looks so cool on the body.

Wow! That looks amazing! What kind of lumber is that? I also really dig how that neck goes with your finish and pickguard - gives it a very nature/old tree vibe. Like it would fit right in at stone henge. Sweet! :freako:

My first guess would be wenge. It could be rosewood.
