for what it’s worth, i’m obsessed with the competition color and not crazy about the pattern of aging on the white. i’d refinish it in a heartbeat.

Its just that refinishing it is craaazy expencive! Costs 900$ here... i pay around 1000$ for the guitar including shipping
I wrote the guy who sold the competition mustang just before i could buy it from him and asked him to forward my email to the buyer in case he would ever want to sell it. Turns out they made a deal that the seller has tge right to buy it back if the new owner wants to let go of it. He promised me to hit me up if that happens
So i might leave that one as is and hope for the original one, or if i ever get tired of the white refinish it once i have the money, or as a third option, build a partsstang in competition yellow.... if its a project over a longer period, money is easyer to handle by selling pedals or work sidejobs etc

Competition orange looks amazing, but that finish is already great. I'd leave it as-is, personally.

okay that went really wrong
i transferred all the money to the seller. he sent it off but it got sent back by the customs because of lacking infos of the content of the package. once returned, the seller wrote me back to cancel the whole transaction. i then prepped parts of the paperwork for him and even offered to send more money for the extra run to the office etc. but he still wanted to cancel everything and now i'm waiting for the money to return...
ah well.... having a bit more money for family vacation isn't bad either lol
