Who has tried this?
I pre-ordered one of those pink CME Bass Vi that will show up someday in the far future and I am starting to think about some changes I want to make.
I have an extra bass vi pickguard cut for strat pups. Has anyone tried mojotone's lipstick pups in a bass vi? And what did you think?

Funny you should ask. I just picked up a Rascal bass, which is literally a 4 string Bass VI with lipstick pickups.
It's a cool vibe. I've got higher gauge strings on it than on my bass VI, and I think that adding series/parallel switching, or just plain wiring everything in series like a danelectro, might be the move. They're sparklier and lower output than Jaguar pickups and lipsticks just generally like to be wired in series, it gives the option of an inductance closer to most other pickup types and really increases versatility.
