The Cream and Green jag project
So this bobbed up locally a while back..
So I have had it on the kitchen table for while and have spent some pleasant idle moments contemplating what to do with it.
have started collecting parts and looking through what I have lying about
Waiting on a pickguard which will determine which colour scheme to use.
Anyone know where white/aged/cream roller knobs for the upper control plate can be found ?

Nice, who made that body?
I feel like cream roller knobs were available through 'Shapeways'? Let me see if I can find the post.

Says for MIJ/CIJ, you may need to 'sleeve' them if using AVRI/AV65 pots with a smaller shaft.

This guy on shapeways can 3D print some knobs as long as you intend to utilize metric components. To age them, you may need to use a little coffee or tea.

Edit: haha. Just barely beaten to it.

Re: The Cream and Green jag project
I was thinking about just spray painting the black rollers white in my case... There's a thread here where the builder sprayed some of the chrome parts white for the build, and it worked aesthetically for that project. If I remember correctly it was at least the bridge, but not the saddles, and some other stuff. Based on that I'd assume it should work out, as an alternative to 3D printing.

Re: The Cream and Green jag project
I know this isn't exactly what you're asking but the other path of least resistance option is to just stick with the black switches and rollers, and do either the PV65 vintage white or mojo's aged white covers (basically the same color as the PV65s, Tim at Sunday tells me and a set of his are winging their way to me as I write this) and a similarly colored bar tip. The black is going to mostly vanish into the chrome, more than the white will, and depending on your pg choice, it'll really disappear. White of any sort for those little bits is going to stand out more and be harder to match with other cream/vintage white/aged white options -- which is *already* hard enough.
The other consideration is that you're going to need to use a US rhythm circuit plate to fit the US dimensions of the body, and that may get wonky with metric knobs / brackets.

Re: The Cream and Green jag project
Finally got this back after loaning it out so someone I know could measure the cavities.
Had a miss-step with a neck, and its an 8 week wait for another one.
Pickups are underway.
So still a bit of time to gather the rest of the parts.

Still waiting on the neck
Another delay, this time with the pickups.
Ordered 8 weeks ago, the maker let me know this week that due to circumstances out of his control that he couldn't fill my order.
Will be ordering some others this week.

Re: The Cream and Green jag project
This build went totally under my radar for two months… if it wasn‘t for your post in the Bound Offset Thread I would have missed it! Finding the right parts alone is a great progress (at least in my books) ! What neck(s) are you going to install?
Is the second body from Rexter? If so, it‘s the Twin to my Burgundy Mist Jag!

Trying to get a neck with a maple fretboard with mother of pearl dots, which will be tinted to match the binding on the body.
Taking a random chance on the neck shape and size.

Re: The Cream and Green jag project
At last some progress
A neck arrived recently, not the replacement for the one that was sent back due to not being what was ordered, but one ordered in December due to the frustration at the delay in getting the replacement neck from the orginal supplier
So good news, it looks and feels good, the MoP dots have an unexpected green tint which will match with the body.
But the keen eyed will notice ....24 frets !
So this one is not the 24" scale and 22 fret neck that was ordered.
But after waiting all this time I'm not letting this one go.
The fret intervals match the necks of the jags that I do own.
So pulling the highest 2 frets and trimming the end of the neck should do the trick.

Re: The Cream and Green jag project
Due to an enquiry in another thread, the current state of affairs -
Cut and shaped the chinese made neck back to a 24 inch scale, ( the frets are in the correct locations it was just too long )
Looking to stain the neck to match the binding.
Not much progress in the last year due to work and playing commitments but looking to get it back underway.
