Late to the game, but wow! That MFD equipped one is legit AF.

I wet down the grain of the Alder body for Artemis 003 (to raise the grain) and I thought I'd snap a pic with the tortoise pickguard I made for it. For you fans of the Costello JM kind of look:

When I do get around to using this guard on the next T-bird equipped Artemis, what color body do you want to see it on? Classic white or sunburst? Funky pastels? Glimmering metallics? Something garish? Something classy? So many options...

Nobody has asked about this yet, but just an FYI that Artemis and Apollo will fit standard offset cases with no issue (this one is a Gator). It's not the sexiest detail, but I thought you'd all like to know.

Just saw these on IG. They look very nice! I love the finish on the control plate? Is that a brushed or stock finish?

Thanks! It's a brushed finish (or sanded actually). I had to make a jig to get the "brushed" texture for the anodized aluminum pickguard of Artemis #2 and decided to use it for the control plate of #1 (and the neck plate too). I think it makes for a nice contrast of textures. And it's a little easier than doing a mirror polish.

Very nice. How much does Apollo 001 weigh?

Man, these are just amazing. I know we've technically seen both before, but these little showcases are SO good. I do feel like I'm more of an Artemis person myself, but I'll admit that I love the edge chamfers on the Apollo too. Thanks for sharing these!!

I'm traveling this week, so I can't check now, but I think it was right at 8.5 lbs.

I was looking at these two last night at work, and I had an idea for the vibrato plate on Artemis #1. So, I printed the picture, and used a laptop screen as a tracing light :D

First I want to say that I think this design is perfect. Seriously, perfect. If you said "I'm making some lefties, pick what pickups you want, etc.", I'd say an Artemis, just as you've designed it. You and Deed_Poll both have an insane eye for little details, and it's amazing. So please don't take this as anything except I drew up something weird that was in my head that I thought was kinda cool. (And apologies if we already talked about this earlier in the thread, last year).

Asymmetrical vibrato plate to parallel the lines of the pickguard and lower control plate!

EDIT: Sorry for the pron Sal!

That’s freaking awesome.

Can I have one with P90s?
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I like what you did there with the plate and I think you've got a pretty good eye yourself. I am experimenting with my own changes to the vibrato though. I aim to remove excess material and simplify the vibrato.

Of course!
Here's a mock-up of a P90 Orion to hold you over.

Artemis #002
Full of G&L goodness: MFD pickups, G&L switch tip, CLF research knobs, and G&L strap buttons.
