I have a 90s MIM Jazz Bass, cool but not a high value instrument. Sometimes I think about adding a third pickup close to the neck. I found this thread where someone added an EB-0 pickup near the neck pocket, which would require a lot of routing. Ideally it would be cool to find a pickup thin enough to not require routing. Jazzmaster pickup might fit, but probably not a good fit frequency wise. I should probably just get some bass pedals instead (Sansamp, compression, fuzz)
